Panam\u00e1, 11 de febrero de 2022.<\/strong> Un total de 3 mil tilapias se sembraron en el nuevo estanque de la granja autosostenible El Buen Pastor del Centro de Custodia y Cumplimiento Basilio Lakas de la provincia de Col\u00f3n (CCCBL), mediante la colaboraci\u00f3n de la Autoridad de los Recursos Acu\u00e1ticos de Panam\u00e1 (ARAP) y la participaci\u00f3n de siete j\u00f3venes de la Fase de Cumplimiento.<\/p>\n

Este proceso inaugura el novedoso recinto para los peces, dise\u00f1ado y habilitado con el apoyo del Ministerio de Obras P\u00fablicas (MOP), lo que convierte al Basilio Lakas, en el primer centro en disponer de un proyecto de autogesti\u00f3n con dos estanques dedicados a la piscicultura, con un aproximado de 2 mil 275 tilapias.<\/p>\n

Crist\u00f3bal G\u00f3ndola Laguna, director del Instituto de Estudios Interdisciplinarios (IEI), subrayo que \u201caprovechamos las caracter\u00edsticas que poseen estos peces que los convierten en una buena especie para su cultivo, generando una saludable fuente de alimentaci\u00f3n en beneficio de los internos y a la vez les permite el adiestramiento en cuanto a las t\u00e9cnicas y habilidades para el manejo de los mismos\u201d.<\/p>\n

El programa que tiene una base agroecol\u00f3gica busca una producci\u00f3n exitosa respetando los recursos naturales en base a la preservaci\u00f3n del medio ambiente y la capacitaci\u00f3n de los adolescentes en la pr\u00e1ctica de un oficio emprendedor enfoc\u00e1ndolos en la resocializaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
