Panam\u00e1, 24 de mayo de 2021.<\/strong> Impulsar la autogesti\u00f3n promoviendo las buenas pr\u00e1cticas ecol\u00f3gicas basadas en criterios de sostenibilidad ambiental, fomentando el consumo de alimentos saludables y fortaleciendo las relaciones interpersonales es el prop\u00f3sito del programa Huertos Caseros, dirigido a los j\u00f3venes con sanciones no privativas de libertad del Instituto de Estudios Interdisciplinarios (IEI).<\/p>\n

Crist\u00f3bal G\u00f3ndola, director del IEI, indic\u00f3 que con los huertos caseros se busca dotar de herramientas y alternativas a los adolescentes en conflicto con la ley penal, procurando que desarrollen sus habilidades mediante la producci\u00f3n de alimentos para consumo y gesti\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica, convirti\u00e9ndose as\u00ed en personas emprendedoras protagonistas del desarrollo social de su comunidad, a\u00fan en medio de la pandemia que afecta nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

El proyecto cuenta con el apoyo del Ministerio de Desarrollo Agropecuario (MIDA), El Instituto de Innovaci\u00f3n Agropecuaria (IDIAP), productores independientes y agr\u00f3nomos del Centro de Custodia y Cumplimento de Herrera buscando incentivar cambios utilizando una pedagog\u00eda participativa con los adolescentes infractores y sus familias a los cuales se les brinda capacitaci\u00f3n en cuanto a la preparaci\u00f3n del terreno, construcci\u00f3n de parcelas y plantaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Actualmente esta iniciativa se est\u00e1 desarrollando en las regiones de Cocl\u00e9, Herrera y Los Santos beneficiando a un total de 26 familias. Entre los rubros cultivados se encuentran apio, tomates, aj\u00ed, culantros, pepinos, ma\u00edz, habichuelas, zapallos, cebollinas, pl\u00e1tanos, guineos, camotes, cebollas, \u00f1ames y papayas.<\/p>\n
