Panam\u00e1, 17 de julio 2021.<\/strong> Los estamentos de emergencia, en los \u00faltimos 2 a\u00f1os, desempe\u00f1aron una labor muy importante al llevar ayuda y mejorar la condici\u00f3n de los afectados por la pandemia y los fen\u00f3menos atmosf\u00e9ricos, no solo en Panam\u00e1; sino, en el Continente, subray\u00f3 la ministra de Gobierno, Janaina Tewaney Mencomo.<\/p>\n

Resalt\u00f3 la labor que durante este periodo efectu\u00f3 el Centro Log\u00edstico Regional de Asistencia Humanitaria (CLRAH). En los \u00faltimos 24 meses, moviliz\u00f3 un total de 2 mil 266 toneladas de ayuda humanitaria, con un valor de 40.3 millones de d\u00f3lares a 44 pa\u00edses en Latinoam\u00e9rica. De estas, 872.6 toneladas con un importe de 26.6 millones de d\u00f3lares destinada a la lucha contra el Covid-19, superando en un 147% con respecto a la movilizaci\u00f3n de carga humanitaria realizada en el a\u00f1o 2019.<\/p>\n

Tewaney Mencomo agreg\u00f3 que el Sistema de Protecci\u00f3n Civil Sinaproc que maneja la bodega paname\u00f1a del Hub Humanitario estuvo muy activa en la batalla contra la Covid-19, apoyando al Ministerio de Salud en el proceso de trazabilidad y a la vez brindado ayuda a los nacionales afectados por desastres como los huracanes Eta e Iota.<\/p>\n

Gracias a las facilidades que brindan sus instalaciones, el CLRAH funcion\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n como punto de acopio para el \u201cPlan Panam\u00e1 Solidario\u201d para el almacenamiento de insumos relacionados a \u201ckits\u201d b\u00e1sicos de seguridad sanitaria.<\/p>\n
