El Hub humanitario y los panameños dos grandes aliados

Millones de afectados por el COVID-19 en 27 naciones del Continente están recibiendo ayuda humanitaria gracias al Centro Logístico Regional de Asistencia Humanitaria (CLRAH) y que sirve de plataforma logística de asistencia humanitaria que facilita el almacenamiento y redistribución de insumos durante emergencias, indicó el representante del Depósito de Respuesta Humanitaria de las Naciones Unidas (UNHRD), Francisco Quesada.

Quesada destacó que a través del Centro , desde marzo pasado, el Depósito de Respuesta ha efectuados 59 misiones para establecer almacenes móviles en diferentes regiones de América, que han facilitado la distribución de miles de implementos para combatir el coronavirus.

Igualmente, le ha facilitado la labor a la Federación Internacional de Sociedades de la Cruz Roja y de la Media Luna Roja (FICR) para que puedan hacer llegar más ayuda humanitaria en varios países de la región.

En este sentido, recordó que entidades vinculadas con la Organización de las Naciones Unidas han habilitado un fondo para las operaciones Covid-19, lo que garantiza que la ayuda siga llegando a los afectados y por esta razón, ya los representantes del Gobierno de Panamá dentro del CLRAH nos están ayudando en las negociaciones para contar con más espacio para nuestra operación.
